Welcome to  Siofok Animal Protection Foundation!

 

We are registered under the name: Siófoki Állatvédö Alapitvány - ‘Siofok Animal Protection Foundation’ located in Siofok, Hungary, founded in 1994 with the aim of helping vulnerable stray and abandoned animals, to provide them with food, appropriate shelter and veterinary care.

Thanks to help from organisations and friends, both nationally and from abroad,  through  the years we have grown into a shelter being able to provide accommodation for 180-200 dogs at a time,  including a cat sanctuary.

Consequently our tasks have increased significantly and in performing these we are assisted by a team of enthusiastic volunteers.

We also function as the local dog pound, thus ensuring that no animal collected or handed in is put down.

 

Obviously, besides providing shelter, food and veterinary care, we consider it our main task to find loving families and permanent homes for the animals in our care. This is not an easy task, but we are reassured  by the conscientious help we are receiving in this field from a number of sources.

A lot is said, rightly, these days on the subject of animal protection, but we, on our part, are more for action in this field wishing to continue doing as much as we can.
